There is an abandoned tintic mine in Goshen. If you take the Santaquin exit off I-15 you will drive fairly close by these mines. You can see them from the road, they are on your east. They are impossible to miss and are an imposing structure against the side of the mountain. The mines are right by Genola.
A side road will take you to a path that goes right along the base of the mine hill. On the other side of the trail is a stream that feeds into warm springs. The warm springs are really pretty. We have yet to find another person there when we have gone, so they are isolated as well. I have blogged about them before and you can see additional pictures of the warm springs here:
The mine itself is easy to get to. It is a quick and easy 150 feet or so jaunt up the hill before you hit the holding tanks. If you find yourself up there adventuring, take care for your footing. This mine has been abandoned for quite some time.
Graffiti artists have painted quite the picture all over them. Some of the graffiti is amazing.
