We went up to Washington nearly a year ago. I have tons of pictures and thought I would add some to the blog. There are truly some spectacular sights in the pacific northwest….generally seen from under an umbrella. I fell in love with the green, almost tropical feel to the most northern areas like Birch Bay. It was a trip to remember. We got in car accident while in Seattle. This guy driving a jag barreled into the back of our rented Suburban and I daresay he was the worst for wear.
We stopped through a very lovely place called Coeur D’Alene lake in Idaho on the way to Washington. I have a goal to go back there again, it was just striking.
Another memorable thing was this tiny train-stop eatery near Discovery Bay. He had an entire car full of plastic containers full of really old and stale candy. And then he had another car that served up scoop ice cream, and another with coffee. And pizza. You get the idea. We decided to try everything, so he went from car to car helping us. It was really quite quaint.
Some of the pictures show the Space Needle. We loved the Music Emporium with all of its glitzy colors and shapes that was adjacent to the Space Needle. We also went to the Seattle Aquarium, Pikes Market, went on the ferry, so some of the pics are from those areas.
