So I am awaiting in anticipation for the storm that was supposed to drop a foot of snow yesterday. We have a few inches, but it hasn’t even snowed at all today! Oh the disappointment. If it is going to snow, it should be on the weekend where we don’t have to go anywhere and can just hunker down with our movies and popcorn and hot chocolate and soup and all other such sundry pleasantries created just for winter hunkering.
Nevertheless, Saturday morning found me wanting to go out and play in the less-than-adequate snow amounts. There is a trail just west of our street that snakes along a creek. It is just a gorgeous little place and if you follow the creek you will end up at Heritage Park. One thing that I really do like about Cedar Hills are its nature trails. If you use your imagination you can almost believe that there are no humanoids in the near surroundings and it is just you and the creek blazing trails in the great outdoors.
It is very very cold. In the teens and going down to the single digits tonight. Or so the weatherman says, but he is also the same weatherman who said we’d get a foot of snow, so take it all with a grain of salt, or flake of snow, or whatever. The snow is not quite virgin, which is when it is the prettiest. In fact, Jeff and I were forced to trudge through quite a slutty snow path on the way back up the hill. Twas a pity.
