Buy fresh corn on the cob and shuck and silk them. It can be either yellow or white corn. Once all silk has been removed, place cobs in a shallow pan and cover with very cold water mixed with 2 Tbsp sugar. Let soak in water for 1/2 hour. Remove from water and dry.
Lightly rub corn with butter. Lightly salt and pepper. Then take a pepper bacon slice and spiral roll around the cob. Place inside a piece of tin foil and seal off ends.
Over medium-high coals, grill foil covered corn for five minutes. With tongs, remove from grill and then remove corn from foil. Place back directly over the coals for one more minute to give it a little bit of char.
Remove. Cool slightly. And eat!
