Re: your salsa — what does the boiling water do to the onions/garlic?
These recipes are making me crazy. I LOVE Mexican food (esp. the American version😉 ) but I can’t get the ingredients here.
The boiling water softens the onion/garlic and gives them a little translucency. I discovered it really helps release the flavors and they mix better in the salsa taste.
Pssst. Email me your physical address and I will send you some ingredients! I don’t lie. I have mailed pancakes in the mail before, lol.
